The Next Superman Movie: Not Moving Quite As Fast As A Speeding Bullet
A Superman reboot has been talked about alot recently. We’ve seen lists of possible directors, discussions on when the movie will be made, and even a Clark Kent cameo in Green Lantern. Everyone figured that the movie was at the very least in development. Not quite.
Diane Nelson, head honcho at the newly founded DC entertainment, commented that there were no plans for a Superman movie. At all. This doesn’t mean they won’t get to work a movie soon, but if they want to make that 2011 deadline they have to get to work pretty quickly. Maybe this just means that they’re focused on Green Lantern and other DC properties, but I had thought that revitalizing Superman would have been high on their list. I guess this means we have a better chance of seeing a Flash movie developed first. I guess we might find out who’s the faster of the two.
